Shopping Carts Research
Internet changed almost everything. One of it is definitely the way people shop. Nowadays the comfort of your home is preferred way to make purchases. Not only because you can do it while drinking your favorite beverage, still in your pj’s, or because you’ve actually got a few minutes to spear, and you could exchange half day running from store to store looking for “that particular thing”- to do it in a part of an hour with plenty of time safed in your pocket but also because of the secure money exchange and great return policy. And of course as usually businesses are adjusting to clients needs…
One of the adjustment is a shopping card system placed in their websites. It’s an analog to a cart using at the grocery store, where you place your items before you actually purchase them. It’s secure and safe system enabling usage of different paying methods. According to Wiki These applications typically provide a means of capturing a client's payment information, but in the case of a credit card they rely on the software module of the secure gateway provider, in conjunction with the secure payment gateway, in order to conduct secure credit card transactions online.
According to Fairbanks “If you already have a website and want to add an online store to it, you want shopping cart software. If you want to create an online store website from scratch, though, an ecommerce platform is likely a better fit. Open source programs are great options if you're a developer or you have one on staff; otherwise, you want hosted ecommerce software because it's easy to set up and use, and it includes web hosting, a shopping cart and tech support” (Fairbanks).
